This №1 Possibility Zapper May Be Causing Harm to Your Business

Have you ever wanted to try something new but you kept talking yourself out of it?

No matter how big or small, doing something new or different gets the brain working hard doing its job to keep you safe and small.

This happened to me this year.

I wanted to start a Substack newsletter. While my mission is empowering female entrepreneurs, I am also a writer. Writing is my way of understanding the world. I prefer written words over audio or video.

But, here’s the thing: My brain was talking me out of it!

  • You will fail.
  • No one will sign up.
  • It’s just another weight on your plate.

So, I didn’t launch. I gave up on my idea.

Until, I went away on a business retreat with a coach. I had eight hours of conversation plus the eight hours of driving in the car.

That’s when it dawned on me: Self-doubt had killed my possibility!

Here’s the thing: I help my clients have these ah-has around their self-doubt all the time in my Brave Yes CEO Coaching.

Doubt is tricky.

It’s hard to detect when we are consumed by our own story. I don’t experience it often but when I do, it’s deeply subconscious for me.

If there is something you’ve been putting off, perhaps it’s time to dig deeper to find out if it’s self-doubt at play — or if it’s just not the right timing for you.

Both are fair game.

If it’s not the right timing, you can let it go.

But if you find self-doubt taking over frequently, we can work through that in private coaching.

How do you know if self-doubt has taken over for you?
